FOREST
Gisburn Forest in the east of the Forest of Bowland AONB is popular with walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders. A number
of trails can be followed from Gisburn Forest Hub where there is ample parking (pay + display) and a café. There are four

cycle trails, Bottoms Beck, Hope Line &
Leap of Faith, Skills Loop and The 8. In addition there are six walking
trails and The Zog Activity Trail, a walk for families with young
children themed a around a dragon named Zog. Stocks Reservoir is a part of Gisburn Forest where fly-fishing can be enjoyed. Gisburn Forest has Dark Sky Discovery Site accreditation where it is possible to enjoy astronomy away from urban light pollution. Road in Gisburn Forest |
