The Nidderdale Show held in September is one of the last agricultural shows in the North Yorkshire calender. Sometimes known locally as the Pateley Feast or Nidderdale Rant, the show features the usual exhibits of livestock, farmyard machinery, produce, trade stands and entertainment for all the family. The show takes place on the 'morrow of the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary' which is the Monday following the first Sunday after (but not on) the 17th of September, therefore it does not take place before 19th September.
