Waddington Fell
Waddington Fell

Waddington Fell is an area of high, open moorland to the north of Clitheroe and the village of Waddington.  The B6478 road
from Clitheroe to Newton and Slaidburn passes over the fell not far from the summit.  Situated on the southern edge of the
Waddington Fell part of the Forest of Bowland it overlook the Ribble Valley and
Pendle Hill as well as the town of Clitheroe.  There are also good
views of the Bowland fells to the north.
There is a radio station near the summit and quarrying occurred
here until recently.
The fell offers good opportunities for walking, fell running and
mountain biking as well as providing a retreat from the nearby
towns of Lancashire
