DUNSOP BRIDGE
Dunsop Bridge Situated
near the geographical centre of Great Britain, Dunsop Bridge is a
village 9 mile (14km) from Clitheroe. Another claim to fame is
that the village is home to the 100,000th payphone installed by British
Telecom. The Roman Catholic church of St. Hubert was built apparantly funded by the winnings of the racehorse, Kettledrum who won the 1861 Epsom Derby and owned by Colonel Charles Townley of Townley Hall, Burnley. |
