The Western Dales
Skipton on the southern edge of the national park is the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and has plenty to interest the visitor with it's canal and castle.  The Leeds & Liverpool Canal is described here from Foulridge Tunnel to the Five Rise Locks at Bingley. For the railway enthusiast there are the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway and the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. Although not in the Yorkshire Dales National Park the iconic Ilkey Moor is featured here as is Haworth and Brontė Country.
