is a large village 4 miles (7km) to the west of Skipton on the southern
edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Both the River Aire
and the Leeds & Liverpool Canal pass through here.
Pennine Way passes through Gargrave, following the towpath of the Leeds
& Liverpool Canal nearby for a short distance. The village is a
popular destination for walkers and cyclists and is conveniently
located on the main A65 road between Skipton and Settle.|
