North Pennine Club
Greenclose
is the headquarters of the Northern Pennine Club, one of the largest
and longest established caving clubs in Yorkshire. Owned by
the
N.P.C. since 1967, having previously been leased, Greenclose is on the
B6480 road about 1.5 miles (2.5km) from Clapham to Bentham. The cottage
features four bedrooms with bunkbeds, a drying room, kitchen and common
room. There is also a library with an extensive collection of caving
books, magazines, publications and surveys.
