BULL POT OF THE WITCHES

A large open shaft leads to a cave with several different levels and a variety of routes for cavers of most abilities.
Access is via either the Main Shaft which can be laddered or rigged with an SRT rope or via a climb down a slope on the south side of the shaft to an entrance which leads to a 20 foot (6m) chimney climb, best laddered which leads to a daylight passage back to the floor of the open shaft.  From there a couple of routes lead off.  To the north a passage slopes down to a junction where one of the passages doubles back under the open shaft to a large dry chamber.
To the south the Main Route passage leads to two more short pitches on the way down to lower passages.
A sump in Bull Pot of the Witches has been dived to Wilf Taylor's Passage in Lancaster Hole.
