||HELWITH BRIDGE INN, near Settle,
lively pub just off
the Settle and Horton in Ribblesdale road
in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This pub has long been
haunt of cavers visiting the local potholes. Plenty of events
occassional live music. Camping in adjacent campsite (not run
pub) and accommodation in small bunkhouse.

Cosy pub in the heart
of the North York Moors National Park.
Accommodation in ten well appointed rooms, mostly en-suite.
Meals served all day until 10pm. Great views across the moors.
Camping available for pre-booked walkers on the Coast to Coast.
Walk. Expect me there about six times a year.

in the Yorkshire Dales National
Park. Accommodation in several bunkrooms. Popular with and
run by cavers The bar is usually open lunchtimes until early
evening but sometimes until midnight for special events. I visit
very frequently, usually when passing through the area.

Lovely and cosy family pub up on
the moors between Hebden
Bridge and Colne, just inside West Yorkshire and not far from
the Pennine Way path. Open lunchtimes and evenings most
of the week and all day Sundays.
I often visit for a pint and will stop overnight a couple times a year.

One of the Lake Districts best
kept secrets, well away from the
main tourist areas in Seathwaite halfway along the Duddon
Valley between Broughton in Furness and the Wrynose/Hardknott
Passes. Camping half a mile away at Turner Hall Farm.
I visit mainly for the annual fell run and live music which takes.
place on the Saturday after the Spring Bank Holiday.

This is not a Scottish theme
pub, this is the real thing! Large
pub full of character and accommodation in many rooms. Drinks
and meals served by kilted barmen. Regular live music. Ideally
situated on the A82 near Loch Lomond north of Glasgow.
Camping available nearby. I still visit occassionally.

Iconic Scottish pub in the
colourful town of Tobermory on the Isle
of Mull. Great range of beers, whiskies and spirits.
Accommodation in 12 rooms and live music.
I made regular visits to the Mishnish and hope to visit again soon.
The pub changed hands recently after having been in the same

I made regular visits to this
pub over a couple of years after
discovering it when I went to view the Sapperton Canal Tunnel
which runs under it. Enjoyed great and late nights with great
people. Took a two year break after it changed hands in 2014
when new owners having made a number of changes but

||YEW TREE, Caudon, Staffordshire.
A "must see" pub near some
cement works off the main road
between Ashbourne and Leek. The pub is a treasure house of
collectable items such as gramaphones, fire arms, musical
instruments and other curious items. There are some polyphons
which can be played using pre-decimal coins available from
behind the bar. I visit the Yew Tree when I am travelling to my.
