Yew Tree

An abolute must visit pub off the main road between Ashbourne and Leek, the Yew Tree Inn at Cauldon Lowe is a veritable
museum of objects including musical instruments including a serpent, a curly instrument dating from the Renaissance era,
guns, furniture and mechanical musical devices such as piano with perforated rolls of music (some modern) and polyphons
(ask for the old coins needed to play them). Other curious objects are two pairs of Queen Victoria's tights!
The Inn is fortunately out of sight of the large cement works nearby that can be
seen from miles around. Occassional live music and parking for motorhomes behind the pub with electric hook-up via 16A
230V plugs.
Large outdoor seating area.  Meals served at weekends (booking required).
