POOLE'S CAVERN     Show cave located in Buxton Country Park, not far from the centre of this Derbyshire spa town.  Of archaeological significance, many Roman and Ancient British animals artefacts have been found here and can be viewed in the adjacent museum. Most of this cave can be viewed on the tourist trip which terminates at a large boulder choke some 800 feet (240m) in.  The cave continues after the choke and boreholes drilled from the surface have located a new chamber.
