The Peak District
The western edge of the Peak District lies in the county of Cheshire.
Of interest here are the copper mines at Alderley Edge, the Peak Forest Canal and the bleak Saddleworth Moor.
England's second highest pub, the Cat & Fiddle is just inside Cheshire at 1690 feet above sea level but is currently closed and it's future is uncertain.
